Le opere concettuali di Pietro Fortuna nascono dalla decostruzione di forme emblematiche e dalla loro ricomposizione con materiali industriali. Una ricomposizione estetica raffinata e spesso enigmatica, che costringe l’osservatore a separarle dal contenuto narrativo iniziale. In quanto “tutte le opere di Fortuna sembrano nascere e materializzarsi a partire dall’idea di sottrazione; dal rifiuto di pretese di narratività, della dimensione letterale del lavoro, del fascino della pseudo-dialettica bene/male e di tutte le sue varietà di rappresentazione nell’arte”. Pietro Fortuna’s conceptual works arise out of the deconstruction of emblematic forms and their recomposition with industrial materials. A refined and often opaque esthetic recomposition, that forces the viewers to detach themselves from the narrative linked to the initial forms. For “each of Pietro Fortuna’s works seems to be born and take shape from the idea of subtraction: to withdraw from the pretensions of narrativity and the literal signification of the work, to withdraw from the attraction of the false good/evil dialectic, and from all its representations in art”.
