Pur lavorando sul ready made e guardando alla corrente dell’astrattismo più profondamente influenzata dal Graffiti Writing, Mattia elabora un personalissimo linguaggio legato al Post-Vandalismo e alle pratiche artistiche non intenzionali. Nella sua ricerca, oggetti abbandonati danno luogo a installazioni e opere di impianto scultoreo che assumono una forma di “animismo condizionato”. L’artista affronta così problemi urgenti in materia di eccessi consumistici, spreco, inquinamento delle risorse naturali, nel contesto dell’ambiente urbano contemporaneo.

Though working on the ready made, and looking to the the abstraction variant most deeply influenced by the Graffiti Writing, Ozzy B. Has developed a very personal language, whose link to Post-Vandalism and to non-intentional artistic practices is all the more evident. Through his research, relinquished objects of all sorts are assembled into installations and sculptural-like works whose shapes suggest a kind of “conditioned animism”. By reviving such remains, the artist addresses urgent problems concerning consumerism excesses, waste, the pollution of natural resources, within the contemporary urban environments.
