Leopoldo Mazzoleni utilizza più  media su scale diverse - dalla manipolazione di piccoli oggetti alla realizzazione di installazioni in contesti urbani e naturali - e si concentra sulle relazioni fra spazio e pensiero, fra tempo, memoria e contemporaneità, esplorando i concetti di frammento, confine, innesto, misurazione.
In questa rassegna, Paesaggi riflette
sull’ interazione fra cose e avvenimenti, nel presupposto che qualunque esistente è frutto di molteplici trasformazioni e mescolanze. Con un approccio di tipo sperimentale e utilizzando un procedimento affine alla cromatografia, l’artista studia la capacità dell’acqua di trasportare, scindere e mescolare il colore. In Paesaggio # 1, l’acqua sale su un foglio di carta assorbente e, incontrando il colore, genera immagini in continuo divenire. Paesaggio # 2 è il risultato finale su una serie di fogli di carta, di cui alcuni in giallo e magenta, precedentemente impilati e sottoposti all’azione dell’acqua. Paesaggio # 3 è il processo in divenire dell’acqua su una pila di foglietti e della conseguente mescolanza di verde e nero.

Leopoldo Mazzoleni uses various media on several scales - moving form the manipulation of small objects to large installations in both urban and natural contexts - and focusses his research on the relationships between space and thought, memory and contemporaneity, with the concepts of fragment, boundary, grafting, and measurement as crucial objects. In this show, Landscapes reflects on the relationship between things and events, on the assumption that whatever being is the product of multiple transformations and mixtures. Moving from an experimental approach, and by a process akin to chromatography, the artist studies the water ability to transport, split, and mix colors. In Landscape #1 water rises on a sheet of absorbent paper and, when meeting with color, generates endlessly changing images. Landscape #2 is the end product on a series of paper sheets, some of whom yellow and magenta, previously stacked and submitted to the water action. In Landscape #3, the ongoing processing of a sheet stack by water and the repeated mixing of green and black colours is investigated.
